Patterson Grove Christian Church 
Location: at the intersection of Patterson Grove Church Road and Academy
Street in eastern Randolph County, NC.
This cemetery is the current focus of
the ECAFA Tombstone Project. As
you will see from the photos below, many of the tombstones are in horrible
shape. The ECAFA is raising money to place new tombstones on these
graves. The ECAFA is a 501(c)3 tax deductible organization, so your
donation toward this project can be tax deductible. To learn more or to

The oldest section of the cemetery contains mostly Allred family graves.
Rachael Allred, Mar 3, 1856, aged 83 yrs
Charlie Allred, April 27, 1887 - Nov 29, 1969 Charlie
didn't have a tombstone when we found his grave in 1998. The ECAFA placed
a tombstone for him in the Spring 1999.
Balaam Allred, Jun 20, 1803 - Oct 2, 1857, aged 54 years, 3 months, 12 days The
ECAFA placed a new tombstone on Balaam's grave in 1999.

Joseph Allred, died Feb 27, 1856, aged 84 yrs
Alfred Allred, Dec 4, 1833 - Oct 26, 1854 The ECAFA
placed a new tombstone on Alfred's grave in the fall of 2000. To learn

Alice Allred, May 23, 1860 - Aug 12, 1939 "Having finished life's duty, she
now sweetly rests"
Colvin Ray Allred, Aug 1, 1932 - Dec 20, 1963
Wm Allred, Born March 2, 1807, died May 8, 1863, aged 56 yrs, 2m, 6d
Margaret, wife of Wm Allred, born Oct 2, 1809 - died Sept 1, 1893, aged 83 ys,
10 ms, 29 ds This stone was still in one piece
and standing when we photographed it for the first time in 1998. In
October 2003 the tombstone was found broken in two pieces and lying on the
ground as you can see from the 2nd photo. The ECAFA is currently raising
funds to place a new tombstone on the grave. If you would like to

Milton Allred, born May 5, 1835, died Nov 12, 1905, aged 78ys, 8ms, 7 days,
"gone but not forgotten"
Laban Allred, Nov 31, 1779 - August ? As you can
see, this stone is in very bad shape and almost impossible to read now.
Sarah Allred Martin, Dec 28, 1873 - Oct 9, 1917 and Norman McLennan Martin, Dec
25, 1855 - Jan 2, 1926
Samuel Allred April 23, 1797 - April 12, 1861
Margaret, wife of Samuel Allred, no date This stone had
been broken, then the top part placed back on the base when we photographed it
for the first time in 1998. We could not find
the bottom section which listed the dates. By October 2003 the tombstone
had broken again as you can see from the 2nd photo. The ECAFA is currently
raising funds to place a new tombstone on Margaret's grave. If you would
