New "Members Only" Section Under
Consideration
We would love to let everyone access all of the information on
this web site for free!!
But, someone has to pay the bills to keep this web site online and, as you
already know,
research can be very expensive. This is why we encourage everyone to join
the AFO by keeping the
info on this web site, on average, 5-6 years old. The research info you
see here may be new to you, but membership allows you to see the very
latest information as soon as we find and document it.
All of our researchers are volunteers.
The AFO has no employees - all work is done by volunteers -
but the AFO does finance research when possible. Our $20 annual membership fee makes all this
possible.
Another benefit of membership is our quarterly
newsletter. Each issue is 20 pages of
current research reports, copies and/or transcriptions of documents found,
family photos, reunion info, and updates on where the research is leading.
The new Members Only section will contain
copies of the newsletter in pdf format
along with scanned copies of new documents found along with other
interesting information and tidbits. Members will be able to access
everything. Non-Members will be able to access the rest of the web site.
