10am - Till

Come join us!  We will be clearing brush and/or tree limbs that may have fallen over the winter.  Then we'll poke around to try to find more tombstones that may have fallen over and are buried under a few inches of leaves and dirt / forest debris.

Dress appropriately - you'll be in the woods and getting dirty.  Bring your own lunch / snack / drinks.  There are picnic tables and benches for you to enjoy - but NO BATHROOMS.  If nature calls, you'll have to drive back to town or find a tree.

Bring whatever tools you feel might be needed.  Some suggestions are:  work gloves, shovels, trowels, hand saw,  pitch forks for poking around, chalk & shaving cream for those tombstones, and don't forget your camera!

The cemetery is easy to find.  From Asheboro take Hwy 64 East toward Ramseur.  Go about 3 miles.  You will see Blue Mist Restaurant on your left.  At the next stoplight, turn left onto Pleasant Cross Road.  Pleasant Cross Christian Church will be on your left at that intersection.  On Pleasant Cross Road, go one mile.  You will see Chimney Lane Church & School on your right.  Across from the church you will see a dirt road on your left.  Turn onto that dirt road.  Go about 1/2 mile.  The road ends at the cemetery.

See the Google Earth photo above for additional info.
